Dear Friends,

We live in one of our country's most naturally beautiful and culturally diverse regions, and we have a lot to be proud of here. From stunning beaches and amazing wildlife to architectural wonders and cultural icons-there is much to capture here digitally or on film. This is why my office has launched our inaugural Peninsula Proud Photography Contest, which runs through January 31.

I invite you to showcase your talent by submitting a Senate District 13 image. I'll select three winning photos to be displayed in my Capitol office in Sacramento and on my website.
